Accommodation
Participants may register with different options.
„Economy” registration provides no accommodation. Participants using this option may resolve their accommodation needs on their own.
We have agreed with Danubius Hotel Hungária to provide somewhat discounted rates for participants registering via the special weblink, which they opened for conference participants. This may be a good solution if you register late (when we cannot guarantee accommodation for you as is offered in the other two types of registration) or if you
come only for a few days, or if your dates are uncertain and may be changing. For the special weblink please contact us via the conference email.
Otherwise, Budapest offers a great variety of hotels, hostels and airbnb etc. accommodation possibilities.
„Standard” registration comes with a Student Domitory accommodation. The participants choosing "Standard" registration, will be accommodated
in the Student Dormitory named "Vásárhelyi Pál Kollégium" of BME (Budapest University of Technology). The dormitory's address is Budapest, Kruspér utca 2. Please note (as mentioned earlier) that your passport will be scanned at your arrival (with a special app on the receptionist’ phone). You will receive an envelope with your room key and a card. The reception is 24/7 open.
The home page of the dormitory is https://vpk.bme.hu. Unfortunately, it is in Hungarian.
To get to the dormitory from Budapest Airport one can use the Airport Bus 100 E /which requires a purchase of a special ticket, not covered by
the usual Budapest pass/. Nearing the dormitory is then possible by getting off at Kálvin square (or the next, at Astoria, or at the terminal station at Deák square) and then pick streetcar 47 or 49 towards the Buda directions.
A link of a Budapest Go search is here.
„Premium” registration contains a **** hotel accommodation in Danubius Hotel Hungária, for all the duration of the conference. Depending on your dates, it extends up to six nights, as it may include the night(s) 28/29 July before and 2/3 August after the scientific program. We recommend this option as the cost included in your registration is way below standard hotel prices in Budapest. For more about the hotel please see

From the hotel to go to the Institute is possible on foot (some 15-20 minutes walk) or by public transportation (10-15 minutes).
From airport to hotel: you may take a shuttle. The miniBUD is the official airport shuttle service provider for Budapest Airport. You can order your transfer on their website.
You may use public transport which is operated by BKK.
The full address of the hotel is 90 Rákóczi út, 1074, Budapest.
Note that there is no direct connection between the airport and the hotel. You may use line 100E till Deák tér (please note this line requires special tickets; Deák tér is the end of the line; tér means square)
and then take bus 5, 7,8 or 122 to Huszár utca bus stop. In any case, you can use Google Maps for public transport as well.
